Parish Priest

Rev Fr Craig Szmidt
Fr Craig arrived as parish priest of St Christopher and St Thomas of Canterbury in 2019.  He was ordained to the Sacred Priesthood by Archbishop Bernard Longley in his home parish of St Wulstan on 2nd July 2011.  Since his presbyteral Ordination, he has been an assistant priest in the Parishes of Our Lady of Mount Carmel, Redditch and St John the Evangelist, Banbury.  In 2016 he was appointed as Parish Priest of Our Lady of Fatima in Quinton where he remained until moving to St Christopher, Codsall and St Thomas of Canterbury, Tettenhall in August 2019.

In addition to his Parish responsibilities, Fr Craig is also the Diocesan Walsingham Pilgrimage Director.

Please keep him in your prayers, and pray for an increase in Vocations to the Priesthood.

Reverend Stephen Walters was ordained to the Permanent Diaconate on 20th July 2014 at St Chad's Cathedral in Birmingham.
